The Mehler cloth mill was founded in 1644. It has been a family business for 10 generations, and is now owned and operated by Paulus and Ludwig Mehler. This makes the Mehler cloth mill the oldest cloth manufacturer in Germany, and the 29th oldest industrial enterprise of any kind in Germany.

The selection includes fabrics for the following products:

  • LODEN FABRICS: FOLK COSTUMES (100% quality wool)

  • UNIFORM FABRICS: INSTITUTIONAL OUTFIT (wool/polyester)

  • CORPORATE WEAR FABRICS (wool/polyester mixtures in different weight, some with elastane)

Order from producer’s stock or have it dyed for you!

Fabrics up to 2000 g per running metre (army wool).

The Mehler Tuchfabrik has a large variety of fabrics regularly in stock. Therefore, we can supply you at short notice and also in smaller quantities.

If the colour you require is not in stock, the fabric will be dyed in approximately four weeks.

The delivery time is longer if you require fabrics woven of threads of different colours and they need to produce a new yardage.

German VAT at 19% is added to the order if invoice receiver has no VAT liability.

Fabric dyeing terms

UNICOLOR colour card

  • As not all colours on the card are in stock, we must first specify the order request with the manufacturer.

  • More popular colours are restocked regularly.

  • Dyeing of less popular or custom-made colours is available at the list price from a minimum order of 50 m. A 40% surcharge is applied to orders of 25 m.

  • Upon customer request, it is possible to dye the fabric according to the Pantone colour card under the same terms and conditions.

Labtip colour sample: 50€

It will be deducted from the purchase invoice of the following production order.

Own colour production preparation: 100€
